    Helena,
Hi, my name is johanna, I’m a friend of Billy’s. Just wanted to say hello and tell you that I really enjoy your food blog. you never fail to make me hungry!
I remember a few years ago, Billy offering me a slice of coconut cake, that you had made from scratch. I just couldn’t say no. What a great way to start a business meeting.
Good luck and I look forward to more of your postings.

Hi Johanna! Yes, of course I remember you. You were at our home for a party a few years back, too. It’s so nice to know that you are enjoying my food blog. I love getting comments, so thank you so much!! πŸ˜‰

Hi Helena – saucy girl. I’m from Manila, Philippines. Here, when you say “saucy”, it means sociable…I love your blog. I tried the truffle baked potatoes – simple, but taste really good.

  4. Helena,
Thanks for tweeting back to me about the black truffle oil. I have tried in vain to find a source. Several listed via Google say they have it but, when I try to purchase, they either are out of stock or don’t ship internationally. Do you have a domestic supplier where I can buy the Mas Portell black truffle oil? Thanks!

    • Hi Jane! In my Saucy Girl’s Kitchen Store I have Black Truffle Oil that I use a lot and really love. Here’s the link if you want to check it out or order it. I also love to use Truffle Salt. It has a lot of flavor and I use it in place of regular salt in some dishes. That’s also for sale on my website store. πŸ˜‰

Hi Helena~I saw your name on the “May have grown up in Harford County” page….I graduated from Bel Air in ’75….your last name sounds so familiar! Anyway, when I looked you up on FB and saw you had a (clearly!) food website, had to check it out. It’s beautiful, it’s professional, and so well written. Pictures are fantastic! Respect from a fellow cook~

Yes, you know me! I lived on the next block growing up. I’m also a foodie because of my Polish immigrant grandmother. Love your site and wish you the best of luck in this endeavor. I hope you do some vegetarian stuff. I’ve been a vegetarian for many years. Would love to see someone recognize this food style as a legitimate cuisine.

    • Hi Carla! Good to hear from you. I’m so happy to hear that you like my website. Thank you! Typically, we have meatless meals at least 2 nights a week. I do have some vegetarian dishes on my site and will be doing more recipes as soon as we move into our new house on Oct 1st. I hope you stay tuned! πŸ˜‰

      • Carla Supik says:

Be sure I will tune in frequently! Just found out about your site so I didn’t know your format or what kind of recipes you did. I’m glad you do vegetarian dishes and I look forward to seeing them and trying some of the ones I’ve already seen here! Good luck in your new home!

    Hey Helena!

I want to make your “much awesomer than my recipe” flourless chocolate cake this weekend for my kiddos– but couldn’t find it–
do you have time to share it?? Hope you are doing well!

    Billie :)

ALL YOUR RECIPES LOOK WONDERFUL! I WAS GOING TO MAKE THE CHOCOLATE ALMOND BUNT CAKES BECAUSE THEY LOOK SO DELICIOUS. I HAD A QUESTION OF THE AMOUNT OF HEAVY CREAM YOU PUT IN THE ALMOND CREAM AND HOW MUCH IN THE CHOC GANACHE. THERE IS A TOTAL OF 2 1/2 CUPS ON RECIPE BUT DOESNT SAY HOW IT IS DIVIDED. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS? PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH THE AMOUNTS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS DESSERT HAPPEN!!
